Discus have been bred for a very long time but now only recently have they become hardy enough for the novice fish-keeper to keep. You no longer need to worry about the correct acidic pH level or having "soft" water. The Discus we sell have been bred locally here in Malaysia and tank raised! These fish do great in regular aquarium water, just like you keep your other fish in.

What can you keep with Discus? Can they mix with other fish? Yes! Ikan bandaraya - which are better known as Gibbiceps plecs - Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps - also come from South America and mix well with discus. You can also keep Angel fish and some small Tetras. Angel fish are related to Discus (same family - Cichlids). We sell small Orange Marble Ikan Bandaraya (same as in the image below for just RM4.50! Angel fish are RM3.50 usually when in stock. Tetras start at just RM1.50 up to RM3.00 for high quality Cardinal Tetras.
